The Latest Breaking News from the Meteorological Department

In the last 24 hours, extreme heat has allegedly killed 22 people in Delhi-NCR. The temperature is peaking at over 40 degrees – with the night of June 18 being the hottest in the region in the last 12 years, as per the meteorological department.    

The Meteorological Department predicts heavy rains in the western parts of the North, the Central Plain and the South from April 20 to 26 due to southwesterly winds and low pressure areas.

Tamil Nadu heatwave to continue with temperatures reaching 44 degrees, but relief expected with summer showers bringing heavy rains.

Summer storms are expected from Friday through Tuesday, according to the Meteorological Department.
