The cattle futures market is heading into the 2025 grilling season, which begins at the end of May. Animal protein prices tend to rise to annual highs as the barbecues come out of storage, and the aroma of sizzling meats fills the late spring and summer air.

While cattle prices have been rallying since the 2020 low, reaching higher and higher new record peaks, the hog futures have been choppy. With the peak 2025 grilling season only two months away, the hogs could catch a bid as the demand will likely increase.
