WNBA star Brittney Griner will remain in Russian custody through at least July 2, Russian state media reported. The U.S. says she is being wrongfully detained.

It is the second time in a month that Griner’s custody has been extended. On May 13, a judge denied a request for her to be placed in home detention.

The State Department confirmed the meeting, but offered no additional details about what was said or who specifically attended.
