In a move that upended the media landscape, Paramount Skydance Corp. (NASDAQ:PSKY) officially launched a hostile, all-cash tender offer for Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. (NASDAQ:WBD) on Monday. 

Trump’s son-in-law is emerging as a central conduit for Gulf money moving into American media, and they’re backing the Ellisons and Paramount.

U.S. stocks kicked off the week in a mixed pattern, with sentiment turning cautious as traders consider a Fed rate cut all but fully baked into current valuations. CME FedWatch tool currently assigns a 90% likelihood to a quarter-point reduction at the Dec. 10 meeting.

Paramount hasn't given up on taking over Warner Bros. just yet.

Jared Kushner’s Affinity Capital, along with the sovereign wealth funds from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Abu Dhabi, have ‘agreed to forgo any governance rights – including board representation – associated with their non-voting equity investments,’ according to Monday’s regulatory filing.

Shares of Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) are falling Monday after Paramount challenged the streaming service’s winning bid for parts of Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc.

The Paramount bid is also supported by Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, so that's probably not great for Netflix's ambitions.

The proposed acquisition would see yet more of Hollywood controlled by a tech company and one that doesn’t seem to care about the theatrical experience
