Honda squad Dandelion scored its first victory in two years in last month's season finale at Suzuka, as rookie Kakunoshin Ota beat Liam Lawson to round off his first season on the top step of the podium.

Third place in the final race of the season at Suzuka on Sunday, behind first-time winner Kakunoshin Ota and Lawson, was enough for Miyata to seal the championship.

Team Mugen driver Lawson set a best lap of 1m36.442s to take the top spot in qualifying for the first time this year, beating nearest rival Kakunoshin Ota by a little under two tenths of a second.
