KOZHIKODE: Bringing an end to the long-drawn merger talks, Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) has finally decided to merge with Janata Dal (Secular). Both parties are LDF constituents in state. The decision was taken at the meeting of the state secretariat and state committee meeting of LJD in Kozhikode on Thursday.

BENGALURU : While BJP has the best mathematical chance of winning the fourth Rajya Sabha seat from Karnataka, Congress and JD(S) have an outside chance. All three are banking on politics and factors like cross voting, while negotiations are also still on to get a rival candidate to withdraw.
