The gain and oilseed sector of the commodities market was virtually unchanged in Q1, posting a marginal gain. As the agricultural products that feed and fuel the world head into Q2, the 2025 crop year begins with the planting season.

Wheat prices are heading into the 2025 crop year at much lower levels than in 2022 and 2023. Wheat prices reached lows in August 2024, and while they are consolidating near the low, the recent trend has been higher.
