It was pretty clear by Thursday’s player exit interviews that DeMar DeRozan wants Zach LaVine to get a max deal, Nikola Vucevic wants the crew brought back for another run, and Lonzo Ball just wants a healthy left knee.

Today marks the 12th anniversary of the iconic social media gaffe.

With Ball’s year done because of a left knee injury, there was some uncertainty earlier in the week on his immediate future. However, coach Billy Donovan said Friday that Ball would stay with the team and continue strengthening his knee.

With the latest setback in Ball’s rehab process on Tuesday, the organization made the decision to shut Ball and his injured left knee down. The focus will now be on getting him 100% healthy for the 2022-23 campaign.
