Thanks to its high level of attendees, Parklife can often be a mission to travel to, especially if you're commuting from the city centre.
Fortunately, there are a wide variety of ways to get to Parklife which can accommodate all the 80,000 plus festival-goers this year. While planning your trip to the festival is likely the last thing on a lot of festival-goers minds, it's always best to be prepared so you can enjoy Parklife to the fullest.
On Saturday, the gates will open at 11am and close at 11pm, while Sunday will have a slightly later start at 12pm but will still run until 11pm. However, the last entry to get onto the festival site will be at 5pm on both days with re-admittance not being allowed after leaving the festival site.

This year's lineup will include some heavy-hitter artists such as rap icon 50 Cent, international star Tyler, The Creator and Scotland's finest Lewis Capaldi among others. If you don't want to miss all that, we would recommend you get familiar with how to get to Heaton Park.
The Parklife Shuttle
The shuttle bus service provided by Parklife is available to those who have planned in advance and bought a Parklife Travel Pass, which gives ticket-holders access to both the shuttle bus and Metrolink tram services. The bus provides a regular service between the city centre and festival site between 9.30am and 5 pm on Saturday, and 10.30am and 5pm on Sunday.
It begins in the City Centre from Aytoun Street (M1 2DD – corner of Minshull St. near Piccadilly train station) and drops off right inside the festival site.
Metrolink
To get to Heaton Park via the tram you need to get on board the service towards Bury and get off at Heaton Park or Bowker Vale.
To get back to the city centre after 6pm you'll need to go to the Bowker Vale stop, as the Heaton Park Metrolink station will be closed from 6pm across the weekend. All you need to do is follow the signposts conveniently located by all customer exits.
Walking and cycling
However, if you're not in the mood to go on a packed tram you can always get there the old-fashioned way while getting some exercise in. If you're setting off from the city centre, you should follow the signs along Cheetham Hill Road then join onto Bury Old Road.
Following this, you will eventually find yourself on either Bury Old Road (west of Heaton Park) or Middleton Road (east of Heaton Park) which will lead to Sheepfoot Lane leading to the festival site.
Taxi
According to Parklife's travel advice, there will be a Manchester Hackney Carriage Taxi Rank in Blackley New Road and a Bury Hackney Carriage Taxi Rank outside the Woodthorpe pub on Bury Old Road, as well as an official private hire pick up point near the car park on Sheepfoot Lane.
