Suzuki Joins the Retro Scooter Craze With This Updated Machine

If you’ve been paying attention to scooters lately, you’ll notice a trend. Everyone’s going retro. Honda has the Giorno. Yamaha has the Fazzio. And now, Suzuki has sharpened up its Address 125 with just enough curves, chrome, and vintage cues to slot into the same lane. None of them will ever admit it, but they’re all channeling Vespa.

They’re just unique enough to avoid any legal headaches, yet familiar enough to tap into that timeless appeal.

We’ve talked about this before. In my review of the Honda Giorno, I pointed out how it’s a scooter dripping with charm. Small, stylish, and purpose-built for riders who care as much about looks as they do about practicality. Then there’s Yamaha’s Fazzio, which I personally own and reviewed here on RideApart. It’s a scooter that not only leans into retro lines but also sneaks in mild-hybrid tech for a very modern twist. Both proved that the Japanese brands see real value in nostalgia, but they’re not simply copying Vespa. They’re building scooters that nod to the past while being tailored for daily life in today’s cities.

And that’s exactly where the new Address 125 comes in.

The bodywork is rounder, the headlamp wears chrome, and the badge now pops in three dimensions. Suzuki even introduced colors like Pearl Grace White and Solid Ice Green that feel straight out of a ‘60s design book. Under the skin, though, it’s the familiar no-frills Address formula.

The 124cc single with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) gains a new camshaft for better low-end torque, and it sips fuel at an impressive 125 miles per gallon (wow!). Storage grows to 24.4 liters under the seat, the tank is bumped up to 5.3 liters, and you can now fill up without lifting the seat.

Like the Giorno and Fazzio, the Address 125 lives in that middle ground between fashion and function. It’s still light at about 234 pounds ready to ride, and it makes just enough power for effortless city riding. But the real selling point isn’t speed, but style. You don’t just ride it; you wear it.

At this point, everyone knows that retro never goes out of style. With Honda and Yamaha already making moves in this space, Suzuki’s decision to update the Address this way shows it understands that scooters aren’t just transportation anymore. They’re lifestyle statements. The Address 125 has always stood for affordability and reliability. Now it also carries a little attitude, ready to sit outside the cafe next to a Giorno or a Fazzio without feeling out of place.

The only question remains: will the Address 125 ever be sold in the US? Maybe, maybe not.
