Pedro Pascal Praises The Trans Community For Their Resilience & ‘Radical Bravery’

Incoming superhero movie star and the internet’s zaddy, Pedro Pascal, has marvelously voiced his support for trans people once again, praising the community for their resilience and bravery in a time when transphobia is on the rise.

When he sat down with PEDESTRIAN.TV while promoting Fantastic Four: First Steps in Sydney last week, we asked if he had a message of support for the trans community.

“You inspire me,” he said.

“You are a symbol of courage, and you inspire fear in those that are afraid of being their true selves. And I think that’s the threat, if your joy and your radical bravery in living your life in joy.”

This isn’t the first time Pascal — who plays Reed Richards AKA Mr Fantastic in the upcoming Marvel movie — has advocated for trans rights and the trans community.

In April 2025, the UK Supreme Court ruled to that the legal definition of “woman” referred to someone who is born biologically female, which was celebrated by Harry Potter author, J.K. Rowling.

In response to the author’s celebrations, Pascal commented on an Instagram Post, “heinous LOSER behaviour”.

“Awful disgusting SHIT is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behaviour,” Pascal wrote under an IG post blasting Rowling’s anti-trans post.

Pascal has also made his stance on trans rights clear through fashion. During the UK premiere of Thunderbolts, the actor wore a “PROTECT THE DOLLS” T-shirt, displaying his support for the community.

For folks who aren’t familiar with the symbolism behind the piece, it’s a shirt designed by Connor Ives, which highlights the rise of transphobia. Proceeds from the shirt’s purchases are sent to charity Trans Lifeline.

As for the term “dolls”, it is a world specifically used for trans women.

Pascal has also been praised by his transgender sister, Lux Pascal, who said the actor was a “guide” in her gender journey.

“He has been an important part of this. He is also an artist and has been a guide. He was one of the first to give me the things that formed my identity,” Lux shared with NBC News in 2021.

There’s no doubt that transphobia is running rampant across the globe.

As mentioned previously, the UK Supreme Court sparked outrage for its ruling of the defintion of “woman”. In the US, President Donald Trump has made many moves jeopardising trans rights, such as banning trans people from joining the US military and his administration’s attempt to make Americans list their biological sex on their passports.

In a world where transphobia, homophobia, racism and all of that purely evil shit are running rampant in places of importance, such as the Supreme Courts and the White House, allies like Pascal are extremely important in highlighting what needs to be changed.
