East Godavari Collector K. Recently, the State government has given the administrative sanction for the proposed works worth ₹125 crore to be done by the Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC).

On Saturday, Rajamahendravaram MP Margani Bharat and Ms. Madhavilatha inaugurated the renovated works at Sri Venkateswara Anam Kalakshestram in the city.

Built three decades ago, the auditorium is the prime venue for various cultural and literary events in the city. The RMC has renovated the auditorium from the fund allocated for the tourism sector. “₹125 crore will be spent to develop the infrastructure facilities including ₹40 crore for sports infrastructure, ₹12 crore for tourism infrastructure and ₹10 crore for roads,” said Ms. Madhavilatha.

RMC Commissioner K. Dinesh, Rajamahendravaram Urban Development Authority Chairman M. Sharmila Reddy and other officials were present.
