Buckeye State’s voters could determine the balance of the US Senate

PHILADELPHIA — Democrat John Fetterman verbally stumbled at times Tuesday night in what was some voters’ first and only chance to see him taking live questions ahead of Pennsylvania’s crucial U.S. Senate election Nov. 8. Recovering from a stroke, he argued he understands the struggles of everyday voters.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Democrat John Fetterman pledged to fight for working people but struggled at times to articulate his views during a high-stakes U.S. Senate debate Tuesday night, while Republican Mehmet Oz tried to claim the center lane politically but frequently dodged policy specifics.

After a gunman killed two people at a St. Louis high school on Monday and injured seven more, Democrats once again renewed their call for Congress to step in and pass more restrictive gun laws.

Dr Mehmet Oz has said he would not support a federal abortion if elected to the US Senate - saying the issue ought to be left up to the individual states.
