The Texas House speaker race is becoming increasingly crowded. Phelan, who is under fire from his right, says he plans to seek the leadership position again.

Phelan’s foe Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick urged Republicans to stop giving Democrats a say in the speaker election.

As of Nov. 19, Ballotpedia has tracked 200 election-related bills in the Texas House of Representatives since the beginning of the year. Of the 200, Ballotpedia tracked five from Nov. 13-19. Republicans sponsored four, while Democrats sponsored one. The five bills are below:   

The Texas House also voted to spend $1.5 billion on new state border walls, though that measure must be reconciled with the Senate version before it’s sent to Gov. Greg Abbott for consideration.
