Joey Logano truly stole a race win Sunday at Las Vegas with a huge roll of the dice late in the running.

Since joining the Cup series full-time in 2020 – and especially since moving to Joe Gibbs Racing the following season – Bell has been a fairly consistent performer, winning half a dozen races and he has even advanced to the Championship 4 the last two seasons.

Bell, who advanced to the Championship 4 last season with a chance to win the series title at Phoenix, blew a brake rotor early in the race and never was in the fight.

The manufacturer’s TD2 program has produced several noteworthy graduates, including NASCAR Cup driver Christopher Bell, who has advanced to the Championship 4 the past, two seasons, and Xfinity driver John Hunter Nemechek, who will join Bell in Cup and compete with Legacy Motor Club.

Byron, who led the Cup Series in wins this season (six) and made his first appearance in the Championship 4, is among the 53 entries so far for next weekend’s prestigious Super Late Model event.

This year, they had three teams make the Round of 8, but only one managed to advance into the Championship 4.

Mr. Hendrick is well positioned to add to the legacy of his Hendrick Motorsports organization this year with two of his four Cup drivers – Kyle Larson and William Byron – making up half of the Championship 4 that will compete Sunday at Phoenix Raceway for the 2023 title.
