Shanai Anderson was last seen at around 5pm on June 13 in an unspecified area of the Highland capital.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service had previously said that several people were unaccounted for from a blaze that broke out at Craigievar House in East Craigs in the west of Edinburgh but it is understood that everyone is now accounted for.

Police Scotland confirmed the body was discovered at The Shore in the capital at around 12.30pm.

Nine fire crews are in attendance at the fire within a property in the East Craigs area of the capital.

Flames could be seen flickering into the sky in East Craigs as black smoke billowed out of a top floor flat. It is believed that the adjacent East Craigs Primary School had to be evacuated due to the ongoing incident.

14-year-old Niamh Quigley and 13-year-old Caileigh Ogilvie have been reported missing from Bellshill and Airdrie. Police believe both girls could be together.

Police Scotland are asking for the public's help in tracing the missing girls.
