The Darwin frog population of Chile plummeted by 90 per cent after the arrival of a deadly fungus

London Zoo's annual census tracks 10,000+ animals, aiding global breeding programs. Notable births in 2024 include gorillas, lions, penguins, and frogs.

Amongst the 400 species counted were Humboldt penguins, Asiatic lions and western lowland gorillas.
