Fabio Quartararo crashed and dislocated his left shoulder during practice at the Italian MotoGP, before popping his shoulder back into place and finishing in fifth place.

While the Italian Grand Prix failed to deliver the expected challenge from Francesco Bagnaia that was anticipated, the weekend at Mugello still threw up plenty of talking points across the grid. 

Perhaps it is a trifle obvious to call Marc Marquez a winner considering he left the Mugello circuit with all the points on offer over the Italian Grand Prix weekend. However, the fact remains that the Spaniard was expecting far more resistance from his Italian team-mate Francesco Bagnaia.

The 2021 MotoGP champion Fabio Quartararo has had a pretty poor Italian Grand Prix weekend so far. Going down hard on Friday resulted in a dislocated shoulder and a trip to the hospital while his excellent qualifying performance was rendered irrelevant by an awful race pace.
