Former Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan to chair the panel

KOLKATA: The West Bengal School Service Commission moved the Calcutta High Court on Tuesday to start recruitment for the newly created more than 14,500 posts in schools.

According to the state government, a total grant of Rs 240 crore 16 lakh 80 thousand has been allocated for about 43,000 community Dura puja organising clubs in the city. Read more on Dynamite News

The Court, while emphasising that the stand of the State is that the disbursement of the fund is for “public purpose” said that grant should be strictly utilised for the purpose.

“Agency rule is going on in the country. There is no development. We are in favour of traders and industrialists,” says TMC chief Mamata Banerjee

The Division Bench also directed that the probe would be monitored by the Single Bench.
