Hartley, who clinched his fourth World Endurance Championship title last weekend in Bahrain, will team up with Filipe Albuquerque and Ricky Taylor in WTRAndretti’s #10 Acura ARX-06, while Herta will slot in beside Louis Deletraz and Jordan Taylor in the team’s second GTP entry next year.

Deletraz will pair up with team returnee Jordan Taylor next season, as WTR with Andretti scales up to two Acura ARX-06 LMDh cars in IMSA's GTP class, after racing alongside Albuquerque and Ricky Taylor at the four IMSA endurance rounds this year.

The Briton will reprise his role as the pilot of the team’s #26 entry, pairing alongside team-mates James Roe and incoming rookie Bryce Aron.

It was a season of surprisingly few race winners, with Alex Palou sweeping to the championship with a round to spare and Josef Newgarden cleaning up on the majority of the oval tracks. 

Deletraz will leave the World Endurance Championship after next month's Bahrain finale to race in IMSA’s top GTP class in 2024, joining two-time Daytona 24 Hours winner Jordan Taylor in Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti’s second Acura ARX-06.

The 20-year-old Illinois native will pilot the team’s No. 27 entry for his maiden campaign in IndyCar’s developmental category. He is the team’s second confirmed signing for next year, alongside Irishman James Roe.

Last week, motor racing’s governing body approved Andretti Formula’s application to join the F1 grid from 2025 at the earliest, as its entry was moved forward to the final stage of needing to sort a commercial deal. 

The New Zealand-based Rodin Cars submitted an entry to join the F1 grid, projected for either 2025 or 2026, along with US racing powerhouse Andretti Global, F2 and F3 competitor Hitech GP, and South East Asian outfit LKYSUNZ.

The FIA has approved Andretti's new team bid after ruling it to be financially stable, able to achieve sustainability targets and use the F1 platform to contribute positively to society.
