WhatsApp is testing a new feature called Threaded Message Replies in its latest iOS beta version 25.19.10.80. It was released via the TestFlight beta program and was first reported by WaBetaInfo.
This upcoming feature is designed to help you reply to individual messages in a more organized and structured format. Instead of replies getting lost in an ongoing chat, especially in active group conversations, you will be able to follow replies grouped under the original message, just like how threads work on platforms like Slack or iMessage.

What to Expect from WhatsApp’s Threaded Replies Feature?
With this new update, every message will show a small indicator with the number of replies it has received. Tapping that indicator will take you to a dedicated screen where all responses related to that specific message will be grouped in a thread.
This is especially useful for group chats where multiple people might reply to the same message. Instead of scrolling through hundreds of messages, you can now tap into a thread and focus on that one conversation.
According to WaBetaInfo, this feature is still under development, so it won’t show up immediately, even if you’re on the latest beta version. It’s expected to roll out in a future update once the internal testing is complete.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time I’ve heard about threads on WhatsApp. A similar update was spotted earlier this year on WhatsApp beta for Android. This indicates that the company is serious about the threads and once it’s ready it will be rolled out to both Android and iOS users.
However, that’s not all. Recently, WhatsApp rolled out new features for its business users to make customer interactions faster, more personal, and easier to manage. It includes AI-powered chat support, real-time voice and video calling, and improved marketing tools, all available directly within the WhatsApp Business app.
