WWE 2K26: All Editions and Season Pass Explained

WWE 2K26 enters a new era for the franchise with the introduction of the Ringside Pass. This is a battle pass-style system that changes how content is delivered post-launch. Unlike previous games’ usual DLC packs, WWE 2K26 adopts a seasonal model, including six Ringside Pass seasons, each filled with fresh content to keep the players entertained.

The game releases on March 13, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and on PC. However, if you go to pre-order, you may be a bit confused looking at all the editions apart from the $70 standard one. There is some weird marketing speak beneath all the explanations for each respective edition, and it’s hard to decipher what it all means.

Here’s a quick explanation of the free Ringside Pass, the premium tier, and what all the different editions have to offer.

What Is The New Ringside Pass?

The Ringside Pass is WWE 2K26’s new progression system that replaces the old Season Pass and DLC packs. 2K’s latest release will have “seasons,” and new content will be accessible through the free and premium tiers of the Ringside Pass. XP earned from matches, MyFACTION, MyRISE, and other modes is what fuels your progression. Online lobbies will not contribute to Ringside Pass progression.

You’ll be able to earn cosmetics, themed items, stadiums, and DLC superstars. The free track has around 60 rewards across 40 tiers, and the Premium track will have 60 more rewards, totaling to 120 rewards. Here’s the current planned release schedule for all Ringside Pass Seasons, per the WWE 2K website:

  • Ringside Pass Season 1: March 6
  • Ringside Pass Season 2: April (Before WrestleMania 42)
  • Ringside Pass Season 3: June
  • Ringside Pass Season 4: July
  • Ringside Pass Season 5: September
  • Ringside Pass Season 6: October

Content for one season won’t expire when the next season rolls around. This means you’ll still be able to unlock content from previous seasons. If you buy the premium Ringside Pass, you won’t unlock any exclusive wrestlers it offers right away. Instead, you’ll unlock one wrestler at the beginning, and other wrestlers between tiers 21 and 40. Oh, and here’s the kicker: each Ringside Pass per season will be sold separately. We don’t have details on pricing yet, but expect around $10 for each pass.

Standard Edition

The Standard Edition of the base game will only offer the free version of the Ringside Pass for Season 1. You’ll still be able to access the succeeding free season passes as they release, but each premium pass will have to be purchased separately.

Here’s what you get with the WWE 2K26 Standard Edition:

  • Base Game
  • Pre-order Bonus: The Joe Hendry Pack featuring Superstar Joe Hendry, MyFACTION EVO card, MySUPERSTAR CAS T-shirt, and the Joe Hendry spin emote.

This edition will be priced at $70 with a March 13 release, available both digitally and physically. This is the perfect choice for players new to the franchise who do not want to overspend without missing out on the main action.

King of Kings Edition

This is where things start to get a bit confusing. 2K says that this edition features Triple H and “celebrates his in-ring career and ongoing behind-the-scenes legacy.” This might confuse some of you, as the language almost makes you believe that there is going to be a whole showcase dedicated to Triple H. From all the trailers and information we have so far, that’s certainly not the case, and if it is, 2K has kept it very vague.

Here’s what you actually get with this edition:

Ringside Pass Premium Season 1: 4 new DLC Superstards and all the Premium rewards.

  • Ringside Pass Premium Season 1: 4 new DLC Superstards and all the Premium rewards.
  • 32,500 VC
  • King of Kings Pack: Includes Superstar Triple H ’98, Stephanie McMahon ’00, and the Triple H Signature Taunt emote.
  • 7-day early access
  • Joe Hendry Pack: Superstar Joe Hendry, MyFACTION EVO card, MySUPERSTAR CAS T-shirt, and the Joe Hendry spin emote.

Note that with this edition, you get the premium Ring Pass for Season 1, not for any seasons beyond that. It’s priced highly at $100, and definitely isn’t the best value if you just want the Season 1 premium pass. But, if you really do care about the Triple H cosmetics, it’s worth looking.

Attitude Era Edition

The Attitude Era edition commemorates the rebellious golden age of WWE. To do this successfully, WWE 2K26 brings nostalgic alts, a classic arena, and extensive seasonal content. Here’s what it offers:

  • Ringside Pass Premium Seasons 1-4: A total of 16 new DLC Superstars.
  • Attitude Era Pack: Includes Superstars: The Rock ’99, Kane ’98, Chyna ’97, and MyFACTION EVO cards: Stone Cold Steve Austin “Rattlesnake” and The Rock “People’s Champ.” Alongside the RAW is WAR ’98 arena; The Island emotes: Undertaker Thumb Across the Neck, HBK DX Crotch Chop)
  • Superstar Mega-Boost: 200 MySUPERSTAR attribute points for MyRISE and 100,000 VC.
  • 7-day early access
  • All other bonuses from the King of Kings Edition.

This one will cost $130, but it might actually be viable because of the attribute points and 100,000 VC. I say “might” because spending $130 upfront on a WWE game is quite the ask. Unfortunately, 2K had even better ideas…

Monday Night War Edition

Before we get into any of the content, you should know that this Monday Night War Edition costs $150. If you’re planning on pre-ordering, I’d advise most of you to think twice before buying this pack. In case you don’t enjoy the game or don’t like the actual bonuses, you’re down $150.

But if you’re a really dedicated WWE fan, here’s what the Monday Night War Edition has to offer:

  • Ringside Pass Premium Seasons 1-6: A total of 24 new DLC Superstars.
  • Monday Night War Pack: Featuring Superstars like Shawn Michaels, DX, Macho Man Randy Savage ’98, Rowdy Roddy Piper ’98, and the DDP Bang! Emote.
  • WrestleMania 42 Pack: Summer 2026: WrestleMania 42 arena and 3 MyFACTION Persona cards for new Superstars.
  • 7-day early access
  • All of the bonuses from the King of Kings Edition.
  • All of the bonuses from Attitude Era Edition.
