Which free-agent signing accepted the most team-friendly deal this offseason?

In a recent article by Pro Football Focus, they named some of the most team-friendly deals accepted this offseason. That list included deals such as T.J. Edwards to the Bears and Orlando Brown Jr. to the Bengals.

It also included the signing of Jakboi Meyers by the Las Vegas Raiders. Here is why the site believes the Raiders got a very friendly deal in free agency on Meyers:

The value here for Las Vegas is excellent, with Meyers’ undrafted status and slow 40-yard dash time following him onto his second contract.

Meyers is very consistent, with three straight seasons hauling in at least 59 receptions and recording 729 receiving yards — but not eclipsing 866 receiving yards. Touchdown production finally regressed for him, as well, after he set an NFL record with his number of receiving yards prior to hitting paydirt, scoring six times in 2022.

Receivers just weren’t getting big contracts this offseason and that greatly surpressed the value of Meyers. But the Raiders benefited as they usually wouldn’t be able to get a talent like Meyers at that rate.

Meyers now has a chance to work as the No. 2 receiver on the Raiders despite being their third highest-paid receiver. And considering how great of a fit he is in the offense under Josh McDaniels, it’s hard not to think that this is a huge win for Las Vegas.
