Clubs across the Premier League will be able to get down to business starting on Friday, June 10. When it comes to international deals, clubs will have to wait until July 1st, which is the generally accepted date for the start of the next season with players' contracts generally expiring on June 30th.
When does the summer transfer window close?
Both Merseyside clubs will be able to make signings until the deadline on Thursday, September 1 at 11pm BST. While it could be easier to get deals done earlier this season with no international tournament there is still potential for stories to emerge right up to the deadline.
