What's on this weekend in Dublin? The best things happening in the capital

The most romantic day of the year is on the way but even if you're not loved up in a relationship (it's overrated, anyway), there is still plenty to get up to in Dublin over the next few days.

From Six Nations drinks with pals to cultural experiences to something you've never tried before, here is what's on and the best things to do in Dublin this weekend.

Scene + Heard Festival

A dose of surprising and entertaining theatre, comedy, film and other artistic works will be available to experience as part of Scene + Heard Festival at Dublin's Smock Alley Theatre.

The festival kicked off on February 9 and runs until February 26.

Programmers Cliona Dukes and Caoimhe Connolly said: "It's an opportunity for creators to trial a piece of work in front of a live audience. It has never been seen or heard."

Tickets can be purchased here.

Superbowl Sunday at the Harcourt Bar

Are you planning to watch the Superbowl this weekend? If so, one of the best places in Dublin to do that is Harcourt Bar.

On Sunday, February 13, the venue will have the game screened on all 20 screens with all the live action from SoFi Stadium.

It kicks off at 9:30pm and there will be drink deals on the night.

Dirty Dancing at The Sugar Club

One of the best romantic flicks of all time will be screened at The Sugar Club on Leeson Street to celebrate Valentine's Day (and Galentine's Day).

On Friday February 11, nobody will dare out Baby in a corner as Dirty Dancing is shown to fans of the 80s classic.

Flicks at Lighthouse Cinema

While we're on the subject of romantic flicks, Lighthouse Cinema Will host a Valentine's and Galentine's series of special screenings from Friday until Monday.

The roster includes beloved classics such as Casablanca, Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, Crimson Peak and Romeo & Juliet.

Bungalo Saturdays at O'Reilly's

Anyone for a night out on the town? O'Reilly's on Tara Street will have amazing drink deals on this weekend when Bungalo takes place on Saturday, February 12.

Expect €1, €2 and €3 drinks all night as well as confetti and foam cannons.

Six Nations Fanzone at The Well

The Six Nations is in full swing and as bars and restaurants are now fully open without restrictions, it makes for some great afternoons out featuring pints, great food and criac.

The Six Nations Fanzone can be found downstairs at The Well at St Stephen's Green while the Disco Brunch takes place upstairs.

You can book tickets here, which cost €15 and include pizza and a pint.
