Destructoid, I am super confused right now after glancing at social media and seeing Nintendo post a random, four-minute-long 3D animation about a toddler chasing a moving pacifier, to the point that I had to discuss it.
The animation has appeared out of nowhere, and reading the comments, I can tell I am not the only one confused. It follows an infant chasing down a pacifier with the title "Close to You." And for a split second, I honestly thought that Nintendo had been hacked. If not for the big red Nintendo logo at the end, giving it away.
I honestly don't even know where to begin with this, because I genuinely thought that the Nintendo account had been hacked and some kind of AI video put up, because the Sora stuff lately has warped my perception of what is real or not. But I have to wonder what on earth Nintendo is trying to tease here, if anything?
Could it be a new device like the Alarma stuff recently? Could it be a tease? Heck, at this point, I'll assume it is a brand new Pokémon Legends Z-A tease. Anything feels possible right now. Some comments have also highlighted that the colors of the child could relate to Rosalina, and even then, I have no idea what to make of this trailer.
This isn't the first time Nintendo has dropped a random trailer that tells us nothing before doing some big reveal days or even hours later, so for now, I'm going to wait until more pieces of the puzzle reveal themselves.
But what do you think is going on? Please let me know in the comments below, as I really don't have a clue.
