West Ham vs Everton prediction and odds: Michail Antonio tipped to score and keep top four hopes alive

West Ham will be looking continue their push for Champions League with a win against an Everton side who are struggling with inconsistent performances. Both sides would have welcomed the international break for different reasons but as they approach the business end of the season, mistakes will be incredibly costly.

The Irons are the favourites at 3/4 with Betfred to do the double over their opponents in almost 50 years while the Toffees are 18/5 and a draw is 11/4. If they win it will be the first league double over Everton since the 1972/73 season.

David Moyes knows his side's top four hopes are on the fragile side at the moment with just two wins in their last five league matches and now find themselves in eighth-place and three points behind fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur and six behind fourth-place Arsenal.

For Frank Lampard and his side, were on cloud nine after their last league outing thanks to Alex Iwobi's dramatic winner at Goodison Park against Newcastle United. They were quickly brought down to earth after crashing out of the FA Cup 4-0 to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Team stats

Both teams in matches involving West Ham have scored in 19 matches from 30 Premier League outings while in matches involving Everton it is 13 from 27. In this fixture, both teams have only scored once in the last six league outings - both teams to score is 4/5.

Players to watch

West Ham will be looking elsewhere for their creativity while Jarrod Bowen looks set to miss out on his third successive Premier League match. The winger has been involved in 18 goals including 10 assists and if it was not for his current setback he would have been in the England set up.

Meanwhile, Everton's frailties and inconsistencies have made it difficult for a standout player to come through under Lampard. Alex Iwobi did score the winner against Newcastle United last time out and played a full 90 minutes after watching the Wolves and Spurs defeats from the bench.

H2H

This will be the 147th winner between the two sides with West Ham picking up 41 wins, 32 draws and 73 defeats. In the league 132nd meeting between the two sides with the Irons picking up 37 wins, 28 draws and 66 losses against the Toffees.

In the last five meetings in all competitions, the home team has only won once with the away side winning the last three league meetings including the fixture at Goodison Park earlier this season. West Ham have not done the league double over their opponents since 1973.
