The Sun and Moon Breathing movesets are the most powerful ones in Weak Legacy 2 for both PVE and PVP. In return they're really hard to get so I'm here to give you a full walkthrough on both. Here's how to get Sun and Moon Breathing V2 in Weak Legacy 2.

How to Get Sun Breathing in Weak Legacy 2
You can get Sun Breathing from Yoriichi in Weak Legacy 2 who is on top of a mountain/hill right outside of the spawn Starting Village. Climb up the hill in front of the game where you'll find Kokushibo and continue past him without falling down to Yoriichi. To get Sun Breathing V1 you'll need:
- Level 50
- 100.000 Yen
- 1 Sun Soul (Make sure to have it equipped from your Inventory)
The first two you need to farm via quests and then Final Selection but the Sun Soul you need to get via Tanjiro Boss Raid raid in Slayer HQ. Here's how.
How to Get Sun Soul
You need to go to the Slayer HQ village which is left from the Starting Village by following the main road. Don't go too far left into the Little Village but continue past it to get to Slayer HQ and talk to Tanjiro for the Boss Raid. This Raid is best done around Level 50 to 100+ or more solo and it drops the Sun Soul item needed for Sun Breathing V1. Make sure to have the Sun Soul equipped when talking to Yoriichi to buy Sun Breathing.
How to Get Sun V2 in Weak Legacy 2
For Sun V2 you also just talk to Yoriichi and you must have these requirements:
- You have to roll and get the Kamado Clan (You don't need this clan for V1 but you do for V2)
- Level 50
- 100.000 Yen
- 200 Mastery on Sun Breathing V1 (You don't need the last move)
Once you have all the prerequisites and you talk to Yoriichi you have to fight him. For the fight, I highly recommend you be Level 600 to 650+ for soloing, preferably more, since he has 100k HP so it will take a long time. You should repeat the cycle of charging your Breathing, spamming all the Sun V1 moves with M1 comboes and then retreat. It helps if you have the Sun V1 final move from Tanjiro raid. He will drop aggro if you retreat where you can fill your Breathing back up and then go in again. Repeat this until he's dead and you'll get Sun Breathing V2.
How to Get Moon Breathing in Weak Legacy 2
You get Moon Breathing from Kokushibo who is on top of the hill/mountain right in front of the Starting Village spawn gate. Once you climb it he's a little to the left on the cliff edge beneath a tree. You'll need the following requirements for Moon Breathing:
- Level 200
- 2.500.000 Yen
- Sun Breathing V2 at 200 Mastery (See above)
- Moon Soul (See below, Make sure to have it equipped when you talk to the Kokushibo trainer)
- You don't need the Tsugikuni clan for V1
The first two prerequisites are just done by grinding quests, Final Selection and raids. For Sun Breathing V2 you can check our tutorial above. And finally you'll need Moon Soul which is a drop from the Kokushibo boss which you can read about below.
How to Get Moon Soul
You get Moon Soul from the Kokushibo world boss as a 53.5% drop so roughly one in two Kokushibo fights will drop it. The Kokushibo boss spawns in the area right before the Snow biome/Snow Village. You can find it by going toward the Snow Village which is to the right as you exit the Starting Village original spawn gate. Just before you reach the Snow area go left as in the picture into a small alcove area and you'll reach Kokushibo at the end of it if he has spawned.
The Kokushibo boss is best done at Level 12000 to 1300+ and I highly recommend fighting him with multiple people since he's a world boss. Just keep rotating with others on who has aggro while the others recharge Breathing and spam him with moves then retreat. Defeat him for a chance to get Moon Soul and then speak to the Kokushibo trainer NPC to get Moon Breathing with the Moon Soul equipped.
How to Get Moon V2 in Weak Legacy 2
Once you have Moon Breathing V1 you can get Moon Breathing V2 in Weak Legacy 2 from the same Kokushibo trainer with a little grinding. Here are the prerequisites:
- You need to roll and get the Tsugikuni Clan for Moon Breathing V2
- Level 200
- 2.500.000 Yen
- 200 Mastery on Moon Breathing V1
- You don't need the last move from Moon V1
Now that you have all prerequisites, you talk to the Kokushibo trainer and you must defeat him as a boss fight. The fight is similar to the Yoriichi fight and you just need to spam M1s and Breathing moves and then retreat to de-aggro and recharge Breathing. I beat it at Level 1300 but I feel like I could have been lower and been just fine, especially with the last Moon V1 move. Kokushibo has 125k HP and once you defeat him you get Moon V2. It's the best PVE moveset in the game with massive AOE damage. You can get the last Moon V2 Crimson Lineage Impalement move from the Kokushibo world boss, aka, the same one you grinded for Moon Soul.
Moon Breathing Weapon: The Awakened Moon Katana drop from the Kokushibo world booss boosts all Moon V2 Breathing moves and gives them a new visual effect.
Weak Legacy 2 Sun and Moon Breathing FAQ
Kill the highest level bosses that you can whether it be from Raids or world bosses.
Quests and bosses are the best way but you can also grind Final Selection and Tanjiro raid.
Moon has better DPS but the moves are harder to hit in PVP so Moon is better for PVE. Sun has less DPS than Moon overall but the moves are much better and faster for PVP.
You only need these clans for the V2 versions, not for the V1.
No, you do not need the last moves from the V1 versions to get Sun or Moon V2.
