NEW DELHI: Sunrisers Hyderabad's Rahul Tripathi rightly justified the famous cricketing proverb 'Catches win Matches' as he came up with a superhuman effort to grab a one-handed stunner that got rid of the dangerous Gujarat Titans opener Shubman Gill during the IPL match at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Monday.
The incident occurred during the third over of the Gujarat innings after being put into bat. Gill slapped paceman Bhuvneshwar Kumar's wide half volley hard, but an alert Tripathi leaped to his left at short extra cover and grabbed a stunning catch with a single-handed effort.
Earlier, Sunrisers skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to field against Titans. Both the teams fielded an unchanged eleven.
