VISAKHAPATNAM: A revenue inspector (RI) in Araku Valley Tahsildar office in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam district was trapped by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) cops while he was demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 35,000 from a tribal.
According to sources, the ACB additional SP K Sravani led the ACB cops, who caught Majji Arjun red-handed.
A person named Killo Ramchander approached the RI and requested him to get him compensation as he has lost his property in the land acquisition for the National Highway 516 that passes through the Visakha tribal area.
Based on the revenue inspector’s report, the persons who lost their properties in the construction of NH 516 would get compensation.
For giving the report, the revenue inspector Arjun demanded money.
Vexed with the RI’s attitude, Ramchander approached the ACB.
