An parent had to be restrained in South Africa at the weekend after he grabbed an under 16s rugby player.
Video footage shows the incident starting off as a simple altercation between a Northwood High player and a Kearnsey College player. It initially appears that the adult is approaching the referee.
The parent then leans in with his hands out and grabs the Kearnsey College prop, who is wearing red. The prop is still embroiled in an altercation with the opposing player, as the adult continues to try and grab the Kearnsey College front-rower.
He takes hold of the opposition player by the waist and swings him to the side. A man wearing a cap then vaults the railings to intervene and restrains the adult with the blue shirt, and places his hand behind his back.
The violence continues as the adult is retrained, with spectators joining in to help put a stop to the brawling.
According to reports, the aggressor believed his son's team was cheated, which provoked his reaction.
