VARANASI: Initiating action under Gangster Act against the sons of jailed mafia don Mukhtar Ansari including Suheldeo Bhartiya Samaj Party MLA from Mau Sadar Abbas Ansari, a joint team of Mau administration and police attached their four plots of Rs eight crore of in Jahangirabad area of Sadar tehsil in Mau district on Sunday.
Mukhtar’s MLA son Abbas Ansari with his sibling Umar Ansari and their uncle had surrendered before MP-MLA court on Friday and a day after it district magistrate Mau issued ordered for attachment of the property on Saturday.
SP Mau Avinash Pandey said that under the on-going drive to destroy the economic empire of gangsters, the joint team of local administration and police completed the formalities of attaching four plots in the name of Abbas Ansari and Umar Ansari in Jahagirabad area.
CO Sadar Dhananjay Mishra, who led the team in Jahangirabad, said that during investigation of police it had come to light that Mukhtar gang had purchased four plots in Jahangirabad in the name of his mother with illegally earned money. Later, these plots were transferred in the name of Abbas and Umar, he said adding, following detection of these facts police had submitted its report to district magistrate Mau.
DM on Saturday issued order to confiscate these plots. Mishr said that all legal formalities for attachment of four plots of Rs eight crore market value had been completed.
