US singer D4vd has scrapped his two London Roundhouse dates next month as he remains at the centre of a police investigation into the death of a 15-year-old girl.
The rising star – real name David Anthony Burke – had been due to perform at the Chalk Farm venue on 20 and 21 October as part of his Withered 2025 World Tour. Ticket sales have now been halted, with venues citing “unforeseen circumstances”.
It comes a day after the 20-year-old axed his US shows, including a 20 September date in Los Angeles and an appearance at the Grammys Museum on 24 September. A gig in Seattle was pulled at the last minute on Wednesday.
Authorities last week discovered a “severely decomposed” body in a bag inside a Tesla registered to Burke at Hollywood Tow. It was later identified as missing teenager Celeste Rivas. Her death is being treated as homicide.
The Los Angeles Times reported that police served a search warrant on Burke’s Hollywood Hills home on Wednesday. Officers say he is co-operating with detectives.
Rivas’s devastated family said they were “heartbroken and devastated” by the death of a “beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend”.
A GoFundMe appeal has been launched to cover funeral costs.
“As many of you know, Celeste Rivas Hernandez has been identified as the body found last week. She was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Her family is heartbroken and devastated by this tragic loss. They are seeking help to lay her body to rest. Any funds you are able to donate are greatly appreciated,” the family said.
GoFundMe said its Trust & Safety team is working with organisers to make sure funds reach the family.
The LA County medical examiner confirmed Rivas had a tattoo on her right index finger that read “Shhh…” – a design popularised by Rihanna in 2008. TMZ reported Burke appears to have the same tattoo. Her cause of death has not been released.
A song called Celeste, credited to D4vd, leaked on SoundCloud in 2023.
Burke has not commented publicly. He had been touring the US since early August to promote his debut album Withered.
