Two 'spare Camillas' spotted at Coronation

Camilla has now been crowned Queen alongside King Charles III - officially dropping the 'consort' from her title.

But as King Charles entered the Abbey, some people noticed that the two women walking ahead of him bore a striking resemblance to his wife, reports The Mirror.

Broadcaster Nicola Thorp took to the internet to joke: "Nice to see they brought two spare Camillas just in case."

She tweeted a screenshot from the ceremony to highlight her point, and the two women could be seen wearing very similar white dresses to the one Camilla is wearing and they also share similar blonde hairstyles.

The two women from the clip are the Queen's Coronation Companions, and the lady on the right should look rather familiar as she is Camilla's sister, Annabel Elliot.

Annabel, aged 74, is an interior designer and antiques expert and is said to be close with Charles and Camilla.

The other is Fiona Mary Petty-Fitzmaurice, the Marchioness of Lansdowne, who has served as one of six Queen's Copanions to Queen Camilla since 2022.

The 'spares' post went viral, being viewed over 171,000 times and garnering over 11,500 likes.

Many were quick to reply that they had also thought the same thing when they'd spotted the two ladies.

One person replied: "Hahahaha I said this - they've got the Camilla look."

Another said: "I thought the one on the right was actually Camilla."

"Haha thanks for the giggle," shared a third.

Someone else wrote: "This tweet just made me howl with laughter."

While a different user added: "Hahaha I was like 'who are the lookalikes' Are they her ladies in waiting?"
