Tributes paid to British wrestling fan found dead on WrestleMania weekend

  • British wrestling fan Marc Izard was found dead in Las Vegas after travelling to the city for WrestleMania weekend.
  • Izard disappeared after attending a WWE SmackDown event on Friday, 17 April, and was later found dead on Las Vegas Boulevard South on Saturday, 18 April.
  • WWE star Natalya “Nattie” Neidhart, who had met Izard and appealed for information on his whereabouts, paid tribute to him as part of the “wrestling family”.
  • His sister stated that he “passed away quickly from natural causes related to underlying medical conditions” and found comfort in knowing he died doing what he loved.
  • Izard's family has launched a GoFundMe appeal to help bring his body home to the UK for a funeral.
