Tottenham: Yves Bissouma faces one-game ban after red card vs Luton

Yves Bissouma faces a one-game ban after being sent off for Tottenham in their Premier League match at Luton Town on Saturday.

The Spurs midfielder was booked in the 39th minute for bringing down Chiedozie Ogbene, which earned him his fifth booking of the season and a subsequent one-game ban.

Minutes later, in the fourth minute of first-half stoppage time, Bissouma went down on the edge of the area while surrounded by three Luton players.

Referee John Brooks decided that Bissouma had dived and quickly brandished a second yellow card, the subsequent red and gave him his marching order before half-time.

That red card earned him a separate suspension and wiped out the first yellow card in the process.

That means Bissouma must now sit out Tottenham’s home match against Fulham on October 23 but he remains on four yellows for the season and still one booking away from another suspension.
