Tottenham Hotspur eye Everton trio as Antonio Conte targets summer rebuild

Tottenham Hotspur have been closely watching Everton's recent mini-revival and have expressed an interest in three players ahead of a potential summer spending spree.

According to the Telegraph, Spurs are keen on signing Richarlison, Anthony Gordon and Ben Godfrey at the end of the season. Everton currently sit 16th in the Premier League table, a point above the relegation zone heading into the final four fixtures.

But the Toffees have improved in recent weeks, securing three victories in their last five games. Richarlison and Gordon have both been pivotal to their up-turn in form, while Godfrey was a mainstay in the side before suffering a thigh injury ahead of the Merseyside derby last month.

Nevertheless, Tottenham have set their sights on the trio as Antonio Conte gets set to freshen up his squad in the summer. Spurs are ready to strengthen following the arrival of Rodrigo Bentancur in January, with Dejan Kulusevski's loan move expected to be made permanent from Juventus.

Steven Bergwijn has spoken about his frustration at a lack of game time and Spurs could be open to let him leave the club. Journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed there is a 'huge chance' the Dutchman will depart the north London club after starting just four Premier League games all season.

The source has also suggested Harry Winks and Lucas Moura could attract interest from other clubs, with the duo not currently in Spurs' first-choice starting XI. With Tottenham expected to be pushing towards the very top end of the division next season, Conte is seemingly wanting to bring his own players in to try and take Tottenham to the next level.

Richarlison is a player who has attracted interest from a number of other Premier League clubs. Manchester United and Arsenal are said to be the race to sign the talented Brazilian, who has grabbed eight goals and six assists in 27 matches so far this term.

Meanwhile, Gordon, an academy product, has become an integral member of the Everton side this season. The 21-year-old has played in all but four league matches, scoring four times in the process. His speed and energy in and out of possession would suit Conte's counter-attacking system.

Everton's Young Player of the Season in 2020/21, Godfrey hasn't quite had the same impact this season as he did last despite being the Toffees' most impressive defender. A physically dominant centre-back, the former Norwich City centre-back is confident on the ball and can also play in a four or five-man defence - two approaches Conte likes to switch between.
