Three teens have been viciously slashed with machetes in what police believe was a "targeted attack " with one suffering a serious wound to the chest.
Police have launched an investigation after a brutal melee broke out in the car park of Marston Green Cricket Club's recreation ground, in Birmingham, on Wednesday.
An eyewitness, who claims to have seen the attack unfold, told BirminghamLive : "Two cars pulled up [to the club] and another car pulled in a few minutes later. One car got cornered and four or five males got out and started attacking the lads in the car with baseball bats and machetes.
"They escaped on foot and the offenders continued to smash the car up with bats. Then they fled off in the cars and five minutes or so later a couple of lads came back from the field wounded and bleeding.
"The police and ambulance were called. I believe one had a severe wounds to his chest, while the other two had minor injuries. You could hear them screaming."
Armed officers were sent to the scene, at around 4.50pm, following reports that a group of teenagers were attacking each other with machetes.

One of the 17-year-olds had a serious wound to the chest and is now in a stable condition after having had surgery.
The other teens both had cuts to their legs which were treated in hospital, reported BirminghamLive.
Police recovered a combat knife and machetes at the scene along with what officers suspect is a drugs burner phone. In the car park a Ford Fiesta, that was stolen from Coventry last month, was also seized.
Officers remained at the cricket ground on Thursday while they carried out further investigations and the club has also been closed to the public.
Solihull Inspector Alec Wallace said: “We’re in the early stages of our investigation, but we suspect this was a targeted attack and drugs related.
“This is a shocking incident. One boy has suffered a nasty injury and it’s lucky none of the others weren’t seriously injured or killed.
“We’ve spoken to some witnesses but if anyone saw what happened, or saw anyone running from the location, we’d ask them to get in touch as they could have important information.”
