‘This was just weird’: Arkansas woman goes to the chiropractor. Then he does something that makes her uncomfortable—is this normal?

Chiropractor visits can already be nerve-wracking if you’re in pain, but one Arkansas woman says hers left her feeling deeply uncomfortable. She turned to TikTok to ask whether what she experienced was “normal.”

TikTok user Darcy (@daddydarcy4) posted the storytime clip, which has pulled in more than 43,900 views.

“Come along with me while I tell you the story of how I’m pretty sure I got molested by my chiropractor,” she begins, while sitting in her car.

Darcy admitted she doesn’t go often and wanted viewers to weigh in: “Maybe this is normal. You guys can tell me in the comments if it’s normal. I don’t go to the chiropractor much. This is just weird.”

Chiropactor crosses a line

She explained that she hurt her neck after turning it the wrong way and booked an appointment.

Normally Darcy saw a male chiropractor, but this time, staff told her a new female practitioner in training would handle the session. “I don’t care. I’m in a lot of pain,” she recalled.

At first, everything seemed routine. “She starts rubbing my neck, then she moves down to my shoulders. I’m like, OK, everything’s normal,” she explains. She’s about to pop my neck.”

That’s when things shifted. According to Darcy, the chiropractor suggested, “I feel like I could get deeper in there if you took your shirt off.” She agreed, thinking maybe it was necessary. But then came another request: “Maybe I could get even deeper in there if you take your bra off.”

Looking back, she said she should have walked out. Instead, she complied, only to be told to face a mirror. “She starts rubbing my chest, like my shoulders, then goes down to my chest and literally has both hands on my boobs, rubbing them, she explains. “And she’s staring at me. I’m staring at her. I’m like, I gotta go. Something’s not right. This is not normal.”

Darcy says she quickly got dressed and left, deciding never to return. “That was just a very strange experience for me,” she concluded. “And maybe it’s normal. I don’t know.”

What actions can she take now?

Experts say there’s no question: it’s not normal. Under federal law, unwanted touching of intimate areas—including breasts—can be classified as sexual assault.

Specifically, 18 U.S. Code section 2244(a) makes it a crime to knowingly engage in sexual contact without consent.

Because this involved a chiropractor, there are additional reporting routes. Victims can not only go to the police but also file a complaint with their state licensing board—in this case, the Arkansas State Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Regulatory bodies can investigate misconduct and revoke licenses if necessary.

Commenters agree: it’s not standard

In the comments, viewers were clear that the experience went far beyond “weird.” Some were angry, while others took a lighter tone.

“If it had been a man it would have been on news and he would get life in prison,” one person wrote.

“You don’t seem upset by it? Lol. I do think that’s not standard procedure,” another said.

Others made jokes: “Sounds like your chiro owes you dinner,” someone quipped.

Another added, “Your first mistake was going to the chiropractor for neck pain… every other adjustment is fine, but NEVER adjust your neck, it’s like playing Russian roulette.”
