The Masked Singer fans believe Phoenix is rock legend following tell-tale clues

Fans of The Masked Singer UK's may have just sussed out the identity of Phoenix after tonight's performance.

The contestant has taken to the stage each week alongside Knitting, Jacket Potato, Pingeon, Otter and Fawn as they each battle to keep their identities under wraps.

But after tonight's clues, fans reckon that Phoenix could be The Kaiser Chiefs star Ricky Wilson.

The character took to the stage tonight to give their rendition of Elton John's I'm Still Standing and viewers were blown away by the performance.

Phoenix dropped a series of clues including listing several reality shows minus The Voice, the singing show Ricky was a coach on, writes The Mirror.

The clues also hinted at art and a paintbrush, with Ricky having worked as an art teacher before finding fame.

And shortly after the Phoenix sang, fans flocked to social media to share their Ricky theories.

One viewer said: "Phoenix - Ricky Wilson #MaskedSingerUK."

While a second penned: "Still convinced Phoenix is Ricky Wilson and he just decided to name every reality show but The Voice? #MaskedSingerUK."

Before a fourth typed: "Well #Phoenix is very much Ricky Wilson then. Thought that for a few weeks but confirmed now #MaskedSingerUK."

Another penned: "Before finding fame, Ricky Wilson was an art teacher. He was also a coach on The Voice - the only reality show that wasn't referenced in the VT! #MaskedSingerUK."
