While there are a handful of contestants on The Block 2026 with undisclosed renovation experience and special skills, this year’s “most unexperienced couple” Lisa and Rosco revealed their own secret in Monday night’s episode: they’re expecting their second child.
The fan favourites announced their pregnancy while chatting with 2025 contestants (and the owners of The Block 2026 sharehouse) Emma and Ben, who also found out they were pregnant while filming last year’s season.
“Em was pregnant on The Block, I’m now pregnant on The Block, and we are relatively similar in where we are in our pregnancies on The Block also,” Lisa said in her piece-to-camera interview, explaining that she was seven weeks along.
The registered nurse added that it was “a little bit bittersweet” to be a team of three on The Block while their firstborn Lando, two, was back in Western Australia.
“We’re not whole right now. We’re 75 per cent here,” she shared.
Scott Cam reveals unseen moment
Despite what was shown on TV, it turns out Emma and Ben weren’t actually the first people on The Block to find out about Lisa and Rosco’s impending arrival.
Host Scott Cam told guests (including PEDESTRIAN.TV) at The Block 2026 launch event last month that the couple shared the exciting news with him before anyone else.
“The Block bubble is so intense that we were all at E&S and Lisa just wandered over to me; she was leaning on a sink or something like that, and she said, ‘Scotty, I’m eating for two’,” he recalled.
“I went, ‘What do you mean?’ and she said, ‘I’m having a baby’. I said, ‘Does anybody know?’ and she said, ‘Just you at the moment’.”

Lisa also confirmed at the event that she and Rosco had “an inkling” she was pregnant when they started filming The Block, but they didn’t find out until a week and a half into the process that she was seven weeks along.
“It was a lot further along than we thought,” she detailed. “It was nothing like my first pregnancy. My first pregnancy I knew I was pregnant. This one just kind of slipped on in there.”
The new addition is due in mid-October, shortly before The Block finale, so Auction Day is bound to be an exciting time for the couple regardless of how much money they sell their house for. The big question now is: do they name it Scotty, Shelley, Shaynna, Marty or Darren?
The Block airs Sunday at 7pm and continues Monday to Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
