HYDERABAD: Setting a major record, Karimnagar district has officially become the first district in Telangana to have completed 100% administration of second dose vaccination on Tuesday. Incidentally, Karimnagar is also the second district in South India after Bengaluru Urban to have completed the second dose vaccination drive.
Officials said that they had planned the vaccination drive with a target population of 7.92 lakh people. The district administration completed the first dose vaccination at 104% with 8.27 lakh population given the jab. On Tuesday, they completed the second dose vaccination for 7.94 lakh population.
Health minister Harish Rao praised the district administration for completing vaccination for eligible people. TNN
