JAIPUR: Team Baria edged past Rajasthan Polo Club (RPC) 5-4 to clinch Maharaj Prithi Singh Baria Cup at the RPC ground on Saturday.
In an exciting exhibition match under Jaipur Polo Season 2024, Team Baria kept their nerves and overcame the tough challenge from Team RPC.
Himmat Singh Bedla was the chief architect of Team Baria’s triumph as he slammed 4 goals, while Siddhant Singh scored a goal. The team also included Jaisal Singh and Padmanabh Singh.
For Team RPC, Colonel VS Kahlon, VSM and Vikramaditya Singh Barkana struck a couple of goals each. Other players of the team were Bhawani Kalvi and Shamsheer Ali. Jaisal Singh won the title of ‘most valuable player’.
The trophies were presented to the players by Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan, Sudhansh Pant. Also present on the occasion were Raghvendra Samode, Priti Samode, Urvashi Devi of Baria, Narendra Singh and Digvijay Singh.
