Swim stars Kaylee McKeown and Lani Pallister have created fresh Australian short-course records at a World Cup meet in Canada.
McKeown lowered her national record in winning the women's 50m backstroke in Toronto, while Pallister bettered her Australian benchmark in the women's 400m freestyle.
Both Australians completed a so-called triple crown by remaining undefeated in the events at the three World Cup short-course meets.
McKeown and Pallister each collected a $A15,000 bonus for their triple treats, completed at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre on Friday.
McKeown, who last week in Illinois set a short-course world record in the 200m backstroke, pipped her American arch-rival Regan Smith by 0.05 seconds in the 50m final in Toronto.
McKeown clocked 25.35 seconds, a hundredth of a second quicker than her previous national record, edging American Smith with Australian Mollie O'Callaghan third in 25.42.
And Pallister continued her dominance in the 400m freestyle with another powerhouse performance.
Last week in Illinois, she set an Australian record of three minutes 52.42 seconds but lowered that time in Toronto to touch in 3:51.87.
Pallister now owns three of the seven fastest times in the event, closing the gap on the world record of 3:50.25 set by Canadian ace Summer McIntosh last year. McIntosh wasn't competing in Toronto.
Meanwhile, Australia's retired triple Olympian Mitch Larkin lost his short-course world record in the men's 200m backstroke.
Hungarian Hubert Kos produced a scorching 1:45.12, besting Larkin's previous global benchmark of 1:45.63 which had stood since 2015.
