Student invokes fury after skipping airport queue by pretending to need wheelchair

A holidaymaker has invoked fury after pretending he needing a wheelchair to skip a large airport queue.

Wolf Jenkins cheerfully filmed himself dodging more than two-hours of queues at Milas-Bodrum Airport in Turkey by pretending he had sprained his ankle.

The 28-year-old student posted a video of his exploits on TikTok having made it back home to Bristol two weeks ago.

“When we arrived at the airport the queue was out of the door and we knew we would have missed our flight," he wrote.

“I’d say around a two hour wait to get through security and check in at least. The queue outside of the airport was insane, I didn’t expect it at all.

“I saw people in wheelchairs being pushed through so my friend waited in the queue and I went outside and took off my shoe and sock."

When he limped into the airport a member of staff quickly asked if he needed help, prompting Wolf to claim that he had twisted his ankle.

“I was then ushered through security and to check in immediately and they asked me if I had a fit to fly form but I said I have only just done it and that I could walk if necessary," he continued.

“But they said not to worry about it and let me through."

Wolf claimed his friends were given whole row of six seats to sit with each other on the flight.

And he admitted: “It was all just a way to get through and make sure we didn’t miss our flight.”

At one point Wolf wrote "Wheelchair only, thanks so much" as he was rolled through a reserved line of security checks.

When he made it to Bristol Airport he is seen spinning himself around in the wheelchair before putting his shoe on and walking away.

Unsurprisingly Wolf's boasts were not met with much enthusiasm online, where the video has been viewed more than a million times.

One TikTok commenter wrote: "Wow, new low...". Another simply wrote "miserable".

"It just makes me so angry when I see p***** like him abusing the system," a third added.

"It’s a limited service and takes it from someone genuinely needing help through."

Someone else added: "Two words, even his mate said “d*** head”, and a third added, "What a t*** pot".

One TikTok user said: "Nah I also don’t agree with this when there are genuine people who need that service.

"I have a parent who relies on those services, it’s disgusting to see people making a mockery of it when staff are being wasted on this person.

"Someone who actually needs it could be left to one side or have to try and manage because there aren’t any wheelchairs available."

The mum of a wheelchair user added: “Imagine pretending to need a wheelchair.

“My son actually needs a wheelchair and it's not something anybody should be pretending about.”
