Stocks in news: Titan, SBI, Ola Electric, Astra Microwave and Hindalco

Markets traded on a subdued note on Friday and ended lower amid mixed global cues and rising crude oil prices. Technically, analysts say the recent dip in the Nifty has not altered its overall bullish structure, and continue to maintain a positive outlook as long as the index holds above the crucial 24,350 support level. However, persistent volatility in crude oil prices could keep the index in a consolidation phase in the near term.

In today's trade, shares of Titan, SBI, Ola Electric, Astra Microwave, Hindalco among others will be in focus due to various news developments and first quarter results.

Titan

Consumer discretionary major Titan on Friday reported 63% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its consolidated net profit at Rs 1,777 crore in the first quarter, compared with Rs 1,091 crore in the last year quarter. Total income in the reporting period rose 40% YoY to Rs 20,753 crore.

SBI

India's largest public lender State Bank of India (SBI) reported 10% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its standalone net profit at Rs 21,121 crore in the first quarter. The profit beat the Street estimate of Rs 19,052 crore. It was Rs 19,160 crore in the last year quarter.

Ola Electric

Ola Electric Mobility reported a narrower loss for the June quarter, as deliveries nearly doubled from the previous quarter and revenue recovered after a weak Q4. The electric two-wheeler maker posted a consolidated loss of Rs 336 crore in Q1, compared with a loss of Rs 428 crore in the same quarter last year and Rs 500 crore in Q4.
