4-5 fresh medium-sized carrots

1 cup milk

½ cup sugar (adjust to taste)

2 tbsp ghee

¼ cup mixed dry fruits (cashews, almonds, pistachios)

½ tsp cardamom powder

1 tbsp raisins (optional)

½ cup khoya (mawa)

Method: How to Make Gajar Ka Halwa

1. Grate the Carrots

Wash, peel, and grate the carrots finely. Keep them aside.

2. Saute the Carrots

Heat ghee in a pan. Add grated carrots and sauté for 4–5 minutes until they soften and release aroma.

3. Add Milk

Pour in the milk and mix well. Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the milk is fully absorbed.

4. Add Sugar & Cardamom

Once the mixture thickens, add sugar and cardamom powder. Cook for 5–10 minutes until the halwa becomes rich and glossy.

5. Add Khoya & Dry Fruits

Add khoya, dry fruits, and raisins. Mix well and cook for another 2–3 minutes until ghee separates.

6. Serve Hot

Your hot and delicious gajar ka halwa is ready. Serve warm and enjoy the winter treat.
