Soldier scheme to face the same fate as agri laws: Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra

JAIPUR: PCC president Govind Singh Dotasra led the protest at Civil Lines crossing in Jaipur on Thursday against ED probe of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case.

Dotasra said the Modi government will be forced to withdraw the new Agnipath scheme. “Now on the last leg of his rule, Modi has come out with Agnipath scheme which would face the same fate as agri laws. Congress will oppose the scheme vehemently.”

Dotasra said Modi, who has been asking for the account of the Congress rule, never bothered to reply to his promises given to the people.

While addressing the dharna, Dotasra said the country is under the rule of a dictator for the last eight years, whose method of working has now been recognised by the public.

He said, “The people gave a lot of time to the Modi government, which came to power by making false promises, but the Modi government did not give an account of the promises made in the elections to the public.”

He said by hiding behind the valour of the army, Modi came to power again, due to which his arrogance increased. When questions were raised on the government, deviating from the promise of eradicating corruption, bringing black money from abroad and asking for account of eight years of rule, the government started misusing the probe agencies to suppress the opposition leaders.
