Sir Mo Farah, Louis Theroux and Stephen Graham honoured at GQ Men of the Year ceremony

Sir Mo Farah, Louis Theroux and Stephen Graham are among the stars who will be celebrated at this year’s GQ Men of the Year ceremony.

The stars have all been named as Honourees by the magazine and will be presented with their awards at the prestigious ceremony in London on November 16.

Olympic gold medal winner Mo, 39, will be commended after he made a highly praised BBC documentary where he revealed he was trafficked into the UK as a child.

BAFTA-winning documentary maker Louis, 52, launched a new series interviewing the likes of Stormzy, Bear Grylls and Dame Judi Dench.

While actor Stephen, 49, will be honoured for his starring roles in Peaky Blinders, ITV drama The Walk-In and kitchen drama Boiling Point.

Other stars to make this year’s GQ ‘class of 2022’ include Top Boy’s Ashley Walters, 40, and Game of Thrones and Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn, 28, who is famous for his role as Eddie Munson.

South Korean actor Lee Jung-jae, 49, who starred in Squid Game – one of Netflix ’s most watched shows ever - will receive an award, hot off the back of winning an Emmy for his role earlier this year.

Sopranos’ legend Michael Imperioli, 56, will get a mention for being back to his brooding best in US drama of the moment, The White Lotus.

Actor Ben Whishaw will be awarded for his role in This Is Going To Hurt (BBC)

Paddington and Bond star Ben Whishaw, 42, will be honoured for his most impressive performance yet as a junior NHS doctor in Adam Kay’s BBC series This Is Going To Hurt.

Stars of the BBC drama Industry, Myha’la Herrold, 26, David Jonsson, 27, Harry Lawtey, 25, and Marisa Abela, 26, will also be commended after the second series of the finance drama returned in September.

Elsewhere MMA star Leon Edwards, 31 – Britain’s second UFC champion – will receive a nod for his contribution to the sporting world.

While the night is called the GQ Men of the Year awards, it is not just men who are honoured for their achievements.

Olivier award winning actress Sheila Atim is also one of the night’s celebrated stars, following her Best Actress win at the Olivier awards for her role in Constellations.

House of Dragon actor Emma D’Arcy, 30, has also been named.

While Sharon Horgan, 52, will be recognised for writing and starring in the criticality acclaimed Bad Sisters, a hilarious murder mystery that highlighted the insidious nature of abusive relationships.

British designer Es Devlin, who has masterminded stages for the likes of Adele, Beyonce and Dua Lipa completes the line-up.

Guests will dine on food prepared by Hesthon Blumenthal for the 25th year of the awards.

The magazine’s eight cover stars will be announced on Monday, ahead of the ceremony thrown by British GQ in association with BOSS.
