Shay Given and hurling stars enjoy night out in popular Dublin pub

A number of famous Irish sporting stars enjoyed a night out in a popular Dublin pub on Thursday night.

Former Ireland shot stopper Shay Given popped into the Boars Head with ex-Limerick hurler Shane Dowling and social media start Johnny Smacks.

The Boars Head on Capel Street is one of Dublin's most popular pubs and known for its sporting links and the pub shared a photo with owner Hugh Hourican pictured alongside the trio.

Captioning the photo, it says: "It was that sort of a night @the2johnnies @dowlerznap @No1shaygiven top men"

And online comedian Joe McGucken also photobombed behind the group of four behind.

And joking on social media, McGucken said: "No photograph is safe when I'm around"

While one social media user wrote: "Star studied line up Hugh, best pub in Dublin"
